Shipping and Returns Policy – 14-Day Money Back Promise Policy

The following sets out the Shipping and Returns Policy and the 14-Day Money Back Promise Policy for York Barbell Co. Ltd. (Canada) (“York Barbell”) for Canadian customers who have purchased products from York Barbell online at: www.yorkbarbell.ca.

Shipping and Returns Policy

Large Items:

  • Large items (such as treadmills, universal gyms, etc.) will be sent via selected carriers. They will call you ahead and book a delivery date. Orders will be delivered at ground level only. If the product cannot fit through doorways or hallways leading to the delivery location, the carrier may be unable to complete the delivery. Carriers are not required to remove packaging or disassemble products in order to fit.

Oversize Orders:

  • Oversize orders may be delivered on pallets. We will provide the shipping cost for your approval before the order is shipped. We will contact you directly to confirm the delivery method and any delivery restrictions. Please note that oversize orders are delivered curbside only and you will be required to remove the product from the truck.

All deliveries:

  • Deliveries may or may not require a signature on arrival, depending on the carrier or delivery service.
  • You must ensure that all driveways, walkways, stairs and hallways are accessible and clear of debris, obstacles and other hazards, including snow and ice. The carrier may to refuse delivery or charge additional fees if the delivery location poses risks or challenges to the products or personnel, including aggressive animals present at the delivery location.
  • If the delivery location is in a restricted access area, such as a gated community or a building with restricted access, you must make arrangements to ensure that the carrier has access to deliver the order to the delivery location.

SHIPPING CHARGES

Outbound Shipping Charges:

  • Customers are responsible for all delivery costs as disclosed in the shipping section at checkout or as subsequently agreed to by the customer. Pallet delivery for oversize orders will be quoted separately.
  • If the carrier cannot complete the delivery because of an inability to access the delivery location, you will be charged a re-delivery fee.

Return Shipping Charges:

  • If you reject the delivery for any reason other than what as set out in “Receiving and Inspecting the Goods”, below, or if the carrier cannot complete the delivery for the reasons set out above, you will be charged return freight costs to return the products to York Barbell.
  • If you inform us (contactus@yorkbarbell.ca or 1 (800) 361-0448) that you wish to cancel your order and it has already shipped, you must return the products to York Barbell at your cost.
  • If you want to return an order under our 14-day Money Back Promise, you must return the products to York Barbell at your cost.
  • If York Barbell has incurred freight costs in respect of any returned products, York Barbell may deduct the return freight costs amounts from any refund owing to you.

SHIPPING TIMES

Most orders will be processed within 3 to 10 business days. Large items and oversized orders may take longer. All delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed. York Barbell is not liable for any late deliveries.

RECEIVING AND INSPECTING THE ORDER

When you receive the order, you must immediately inspect it (i) for visible damage, and (ii) to ensure the products delivered match the bill of lading, a follows:

  • Damage on Delivery: The packaging on some products can become damaged during transit. In most cases, this will have no impact on the goods themselves and means that the packaging will have served its purpose in protecting your order. If there is visible damage to the packaging or products on delivery, please (i) take a picture of the damage, and (ii) note the damage on the bill of lading next to your signature. In the event that you receive an order which is obviously damaged beyond all levels of acceptability, please (i) take a picture of the damage, (ii) refuse the delivery, and (iii) contact us via contactus@yorkbarbell.ca or 1 (800) 361-0448 within 48 hours to advise us that you have refused delivery due to damage during transit. Please include your contact information (including the email address you used to place the order), your order number and pictures of the damage.
  • Accuracy of Delivery: The bill of lading will state how many packages are included in the order and a description of the contents of the packages. You must count the items, confirm they match the bill of lading before you sign the bill of lading to confirm you have received the whole order in good condition. If the products delivered do not match the products on the bill of lading, you must note that on the bill of lading next to your signature. In such case, please contact us via contactus@yorkbarbell.ca or 1 (800) 361-0448  within 48 hours to advise us of the wrongly delivered products. Please your contact information (including the email address you used to place the order), your order number and the bill of lading.

York Barbell cannot accept claims of missing or damaged products, or wrongly delivered products if you do not follow the above procedures. York Barbell will not accept claims of missing or damaged products, or wrongly delivered products if you have not marked any deficiency on the bill of lading, or marked it with “accepted without inspection”, “not inspected”, “unexamined” or similar phrases.

This does not affect your statutory rights in the event of the goods being faulty.


14 DAY MONEY BACK PROMISE POLICY

At York Barbell we understand that making purchases online is not always easy. If something is not clear or you require further details, please don’t hesitate to contact us regarding your purchase.

To make life easier we offer a 14-day Money Back Promise to give you the peace of mind to change your mind for whatever reason and get a refund of the purchase price of the product, excluding shipping costs. Conditions apply.

If you wish to return your order after it is delivered to you:

  1. You must let us know in writing by contacting us contactus@yorkbarbell.ca or 1 (800) 361-0448 no later than 14 days after you have received delivery that you wish to return the order. Please provide your contact information (including the email address you used to place the order) and your order number and a statement that you wish to return the order.
  2. Once our customer service team confirms that your request complies with this 14-day Money Back Promise policy, they will issue you a Returns Authorisation Number. Please allow 1-3 business days for your return request to be processed and a Return Authorization Number to be issued.
  3. You must arrange for delivery of the order back to our warehouse, at your expense, within 14 calendar days after the day we issue you the Returns Authorisation Number. The address for our warehouse will be included with your Returns Authorisation Number.
  4. Any products returned without a Returns Authorisation Number will be refused by our warehouse.
  5. The products must be returned in “like new” condition, which means they have not been used and are in the original packaging. Any products that have been removed from the packaging, have been used, are missing parts, manuals or accessories, or have been installed or assembled are not in “like new” condition, are not covered by our 14-day Money Back Promise and cannot be returned.
  6. Once we receive your returned products, we will consider whether they are in “like new” condition. If so, we will refund you the purchase price of the product, excluding shipping costs, using the same payment method you used to place the order. If we cannot use that payment method, we may contact you for an alternate refund method or we may mail you a cheque.
  7. If the returned products are not in “like new” condition, we may refuse to accept the return, or issue you a reduced refund, in our discretion.
  8. We aim to issue refunds promptly, but your refund could take up to 30 days from our receipt of the returned order.

Notes:

  • Products identified as “clearance”, “closeout”, “discontinued”, “final sale” or similar language, or that are in the “Clearance” section of the website, are not eligible to be returned under our 14-Day Money Back Promise.
  • If you want to cancel an order after it has been shipped but before it is delivered to you, you must accept the order and then return it following the process above. Contact us as soon as possible at contactus@yorkbarbell.ca or 1 (800) 361-0448.
  • If you wish to return an order because it has been delivered damaged, please follow the procedure in the Shipping and Returns Policy, under “Receiving and Inspecting the Order”.
  • If you wish to return a faulty product, please refer to our Warranty Policy.
  • You are responsible for taking care of the products while they are in your possession.
  • This 14-Day Money Back Promise also covers any spare parts purchased on our website.
  • Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights. This policy applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and unless restricted or prohibited by law. Where any term of this policy is restricted or prohibited by applicable law, such term shall be null and void but the reminder of this policy shall remain in effect.
